One of Nike’s most iconic basketball sneakers from the 1990s will be released again.
According to an “Internal Company Document” seen by Complex, the Nike Air Flight Huarache will appear in its original “White/Varsity Purple-Royal Blue-Menta” colorway and schedule the Nike Air Flight Huarache sneaker for sale in April 2023. Although further variations have not been verified, this original colorway (style number FD0183-101) will cost $125 at retail.
It transformed Hatfield’s Air Huarache runner design’s sock-like composition into a basketball sneaker. The Michigan Wolverines’ “Fab Five” squad made it famous on the field, and NBA stars like Reggie Miller, Scottie Pippen, and subsequently Kobe Bryant also wore it.
The Nike Air Flight Huarache was originally released in 1992. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar. 2003 and 2014 were prior Air Flight Huarache retros.
