Kevin Plawecki is a Major League Baseball catcher with the Boston Red Sox in the United States (MLB). Plawecki attended Purdue University and played college baseball for the Boilermakers before turning professional. He formerly played for the New York Mets and Cleveland Indians in Major League Baseball.
Plawecki was a standout pitcher for Westfield High School. He was an All-American in college and was voted Big Ten Conference Baseball Player of the Year in 2012. In the 2012 MLB draft, the Mets selected him with the 35th overall pick.
