The artist put out a video on Friday in which he explained why he had to cancel many shows in the previous week due to a diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome. Bieber claims the paralysis is due to a nerve in his ear being impacted.
Justin is unable to blink with one eye and can only grin with one side of his mouth, as seen in the video.
While JB apologizes for missing recent gigs, he claims the situation is “very severe” and that he’ll need to take an unspecified period of time off to focus on his health.
He says he’s been doing facial exercises, and that with work, everything will get back to normal it’s just not clear how long that’ll take.
“I’m doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal, and it will go back to normal. It’s just time. We don’t know how much time it’s gonna be, but it’s gonna be OK.”
