After Alaina was born and she was unable to care for her due to her drug addiction, Eminem and his wife made the decision to take custody of her.
Alaina Marie was formally adopted by Eminem in the 2000s, however, it’s not clear exactly when this took place. She was born in 1993 under the name Amanda to Kimberly’s twin sister Dawn Scott, who passed away in 2016 from drug usage. During the adoption procedure, her name was officially changed.
